Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most breweries and distilleries are currently not offering buyable tours or experiences to abide to local safety precautions.
Below is a highlight of regular experiences and tour options that are available for purchase. Please contact any of the breweries or distilleries directly to find out the status of their current service options.

Join the award-winning brewers at The Grove Brew House for a day of brewing, eating and tasting – be a brewer for a day!
Each experience will vary slightly based on the brews being made. You and a friend will go hand-in-hand with the brewer into the brew house (with up to six other guests) to learn the process of making some of their award winning beers, plus get the opportunity to taste the fruits of your labour! Each each experience also includes a brewers lunch (with a beer flight pairing) plus a 20L keg of your creation (or 10L canned product). Dates vary based on production schedules. Experience the sensual yet delicate balance between sweet and bitter flavours, and enjoy the unique palette feel when the two hand-made offerings are savoured together. Great whisky isn’t made quickly or easily. It’s the result of choices made over time, by a team of dedicated individuals who rely on each other’s expertise. For every taste, there’s a flavour. Whether you like your whisky on the rocks or in a mix, watching the fire or watching the game, we’ve got a whisky for you. Come visit us at our new distillery experience, where you’ll learn about the history of Canadian whisky and the craft of making it. The tour concludes with samples of our award-winning whisky.
Tours held every Friday at 1 pm, 3 pm & 5 pm* and every Saturday and Sunday at 12pm, 2pm & 4pm*. Cost $15. Tours are guided and consist of 15 people at a time and are approximately 1.5 hours in length. At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to purchase any of the Canadian whiskies that you sampled including some of our rare collections. You’ll have the opportunity to explore Walkerville Brewery and learn more about Hiram Walker, the “Honest Beer”, and the roots of the brewery dating back to the 1890’s. Take a tour of Windsor Essex’s largest brewery!
Tours held weekly, Saturday 12:30-5:00pm. Tour duration is approximately 45 minutes and includes a guided historical tour of the brewery, a sampling of beers available and a 12 Oz. glass of beer of your choice to enjoy. Cost is $7.00. A craftsman’s operation, Wolfhead Distillery incorporates the resources found in its own backyard in producing unique flavours that push the boundaries of standard Canadian Spirits. A distinct element being the neighbouring Amherstburg quarry, the supplier of Limestone treated water used in the production of all Wolfhead spirits.
Tours occur every Saturday at 1 pm and 2 pm. Tastings are available everyday. Go behind the scenes for a tour of the facility and taste some of the products that were 3.5 million years in the making.
Every Friday evening Brew will be hosting “Unfiltered Fridays”. Just like a keg party, $10 gets you a Brew cup and refills of Brew Proper Lager. Bring your Brew cup to The Foundry Pub afterwards and get pints of $3.50 Brew all night long. Get your Brew crew together and get ready, Windsor Essex is craft beer crazy! We offer a fun and informative Tour & Guided Tasting Experience in our family-owned and managed brewhouse. You get to sample 5 beers styles while we explain who we are, how the GL Heritage Brewery came to be, and all about the craft brewing and canning process right on site. Cost is $10 per person, including the samples of beer during the tour, and the experience takes approximately 30 mins. We can accommodate group tours of up to 50 people at once. Please book at least a week in advance.
